Community Guidelines

StarNestSocial is a platform built on fairness, positivity, and opportunity.

1. Age Rules

You must be 18+ to join StarNestSocial. This is a legal requirement for our platform.

2. Respect & Behavior

• No harassment, bullying, or targeted negativity.
• Disagreements are fine, but personal attacks are not.
• No hate speech or discriminatory content.

Blocking & Conflict Resolution

• Use the block feature to avoid unwanted interactions rather than escalating conflicts
• Double Downvote (DD) is for content you strongly dislike, not personal vendettas (2 per day limit). Receiving a DD costs the post owner −50 Magnet points — use responsibly
• Blocking is mutual; both parties lose access to each other's content
• Do not attempt to circumvent blocks by creating alt accounts

2A. Guest Post Etiquette

Guest posts allow mutual followers to write on your nest. Treat your friend's nest with respect.

When Posting to a Friend's Nest

• Keep it positive and respectful—it's their space
• Don't spam or post excessively
• No promotional content without permission
• The nest owner can delete your post at any time

As a Nest Owner

• You can delete any guest post on your nest
• You're responsible for moderating guest posts (remove rule violations)
• If you don't want guest posts, unfollow users or ask them to stop
• Repeatedly allowing rule-violating guest posts may result in account restrictions

Privacy Note: All posts on your nest (yours and guest posts) inherit your profile's visibility setting (public or private), and only your mutual followers can comment—even on public posts.

2B. Content Reporting Guidelines

When to Report

• Spam, scams, or bot activity
• Harassment, bullying, or threats
• Graphic violence or illegal content
• Copyright violations (stolen content) — see DMCA Policy
• Adult content, nudity, or sexually explicit material
• Any content that violates platform policies

How to Report: Click the "..." menu on any post → "Report Post" → Select category → Provide details

Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24-48 hours. Your identity is protected; reported users won't know who reported them.

False Reports: Don't abuse the reporting system. Malicious or false reports may result in account restrictions.

2C. Live Streaming Conduct

All platform rules apply to live streams (no harassment, hate speech, illegal content, or adult content).

• Chat Moderation: Streamers must moderate their chat; repeated rule violations by viewers may result in platform bans
• Guest Behavior: Stream guests must comply with all rules; hosts responsible for guest conduct
• Stream Bans: Streams violating rules may be terminated immediately without warning
• Recording Consent: By streaming, you consent to temporary recording for moderation/replay purposes

Viewer Conduct: Don't spam chat, harass others, or share inappropriate links

2D. Messaging Etiquette

• Respect Boundaries: Don't send unsolicited explicit content, spam, or harassment via DMs
• Rate Limits: 30 messages per minute to prevent spam (applies to all users)
• No Encryption: Messages are NOT end-to-end encrypted. Don't share sensitive info (passwords, credit cards, SSNs)
• Report Harassment: Use the block feature if someone harasses you via DMs. Report severe cases to moderators.
• Voice Messages: Keep voice messages concise and respectful

2E. Gallery & Content Sharing Etiquette

Gallery posts let you bookmark and showcase content you appreciate. Treat shared content with respect.

When Sharing to Your Gallery

• Share content as genuine appreciation, not harassment or mockery
• Don't spam your gallery with the same post repeatedly
• Respect if a creator asks you to remove their post from your gallery
• Don't share content in a way that misrepresents the original author

For Content Creators

• If someone shares your post to their gallery in a malicious way, report it
• You can request specific users stop sharing your content (contact them or support)
• Blocking a user prevents them from seeing your future posts to share

Remember: Gallery shares are compliments! If you don't want your content shared, consider using nest-only posts (only mutual followers can see and share).

3. Content Rules

• No illegal material.
• No sexual content involving minors (permanent ban).
• No scams, spam, or manipulation.

3A. Authentic Content Only

StarNestSocial is a platform for real creators sharing real content. AI-generated content is not allowed.

• Post only content you created yourself
• Don't use AI image generators, AI video tools, or AI writing tools to create posts
• Don't post deepfakes or AI-manipulated media
• Real photos, real videos, real art, real words

If you post AI content: First time: Warning + content removed. Repeat violations: Account suspension or ban. Lost earnings from removed content. Magnet score penalty (−100 points per warning).

How we catch it: We use automated AI detection AND community reports. Both help keep StarNestSocial authentic. Report suspected AI content using the "..." menu on any post.

3B. Intellectual Property & Copyright

StarNestSocial respects intellectual property rights and expects all users to do the same. Posting content you did not create or do not have rights to use is a violation of these guidelines and applicable law.

What Constitutes Copyright Infringement

• Uploading photos, videos, music, or artwork created by someone else without permission
• Re-posting another creator's content and claiming it as your own
• Using copyrighted music in videos or streams without a license
• Sharing full-length copyrighted articles, books, or other written works

DMCA Process

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used without authorization, you may file a DMCA takedown notice. We follow the procedures outlined in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). See our full DMCA Policy for filing instructions.

Repeat Infringer Policy (3-Strike Rule)

• First strike: Content removed, written warning issued, −100 Magnet points
• Second strike: Content removed, 14-day account suspension
• Third strike: Permanent account termination and forfeiture of all ESC earnings

Strikes expire after 12 months. Counter-notifications are available if you believe a takedown was made in error — see our DMCA Policy for details.

4. Prohibited Adult Content

What is NOT Allowed:

• Pornography or sexually explicit imagery/video
• Full or partial nudity (including implied nudity)
• Sexual acts or simulated sexual acts
• Sexually suggestive content intended to arouse
• Sexual services or solicitation
• Sexually explicit text or captions

Enforcement:

• First offense: Content removal and warning (−100 Magnet)
• Second offense: 7-day account suspension
• Third offense: Permanent account ban
• Severe violations: Immediate permanent ban without warning

Note: StarNestSocial is 18+ for earnings/payout compliance (advertising and money transmission regulations), NOT for adult content. Content depicting minors in any sexual context is illegal and will be reported to authorities immediately.

5. Positivity & Magnet System

Your Magnet score (0–820, starting at 250) affects earning potential. Positive contributions increase it; negativity lowers it. This ensures earnings reflect community trust.

How Magnet Points Work

Magnet Tiers

• Low (0–299): Reduced content visibility and lowest earning tier
• Medium (300–599): Standard visibility and moderate earning tier
• High (600–820): Maximum visibility and highest earning tier

Points are settled nightly at 00:30 UTC. Reversals (e.g., un-liking) are honored within 24 hours. For complete details, see How Earnings Work.

6. Communities

You will see content aligned with your interests and not forced into feeds you dislike. All lawful communities are welcome.

• Community owners are responsible for moderating content within their community
• Communities promoting illegal activity, hate, or adult content will be removed
• Cross-posting spam across multiple communities is prohibited
• Community names and descriptions must comply with all content rules

7. Enforcement

Violations may lead to warnings, suspension, bans, or forfeiture of earnings. Enforcement records are retained for 3 years per our Data Retention Policy.

7A. Appeals Process

If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you have the right to appeal. All appeals are reviewed by a human moderator — never solely by automated systems.

How to Appeal

1. Submit your appeal by emailing starnestsocial@gmail.com with the subject line "Appeal: [your username]" within 30 days of the enforcement action
2. Acknowledgment: You will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours
3. Review: A human moderator will review your case within 5 business days
4. Outcome: You will be notified of the decision by email. Decisions include: action reversed, action upheld, or action modified

What to Include in Your Appeal

• Your username and account email
• The specific enforcement action you are appealing
• Why you believe the action was incorrect or disproportionate
• Any supporting evidence (screenshots, context, etc.)

8. Earnings Disclaimer

Earnings are discretionary revenue-sharing compensation for your engagement activities, not wages, debts, or investment returns.

9. Legal Reminder

These Guidelines operate under Nevada law and our Terms of Service. Enforcement is supported by NRS 104.2302 (unconscionability), NRS Chapter 38 (arbitration), and related statutes.
